Savitribai Phule Pune University's history department introduces Persian language course !

 To promote cultural linguistic diversity understanding, and History Department of Savitribai Phule Pune University has announced the launch of a new course 'Basic Course in Persian (Persian) Language'!

Persian holds importance as a major language in both the Middle East and Central Asia. Referred to as Persian in Iran, Dari in Afghanistan, and Tajik in Tajikistan, it plays an important role in linguistic and cultural contexts throughout the region.

Prospective students interested in learning the Persian language can apply to the department by submitting their applications before the deadline of December 9, 3 pm. Application Forms can be obtained at the department office.

Starting on December 10, the course is scheduled to last for 50 hours and will provide participants with a basic understanding of the Persian language. 12th pass qualification is required for enrollment in the programme. The course fee is Rs 3000 per student, and applicants are encouraged to meet the application submission deadline to secure their place in the programme.

Dr. Shraddha Kumbhojkar, head of the history department, emphasized that classes will be held every Sunday from 9 am to 12 noon. Language instruction will be offered in both Marathi and English to meet the needs of a diverse group of learners.
